Map

October 2002. Norfolk NMP.
A slight earthwork bank and ditch is visible running from TG 0541 4495 to TG 0562 4468, visible on 1946 RAF aerial photographs (S1). The bank is visible in two sections. The main one runs from TG 0543 4494 and is 212m long and approximately 11m across. A ditch can be seen to flank the western part of this feature. The second stretch of the bank is only 49m long and runs from TG 0559 4472 to TG 0562 4468. This section only appears to have an accompanying ditch to the north. These are likely to be banks relating to sea defence and saltmarsh improvement during the post-medieval period.
S. Massey (NMP), 7 January 2003.
