Map

L-shaped building, shown on (S1) to same plan as now. Low wing projecting west at rear has plaque ERMP 1880 (letters stand for the Pratt family) and clamp irons forming letters JGL. The date is probably only that at which the family acquired the farm. Main north to south block is double pile; rear pile to west is of carrstone and pre-20th century brickwork. East pile has façade in Georgian style arranged 2-1-2, the central window above a pedimented doorway. The windows are in Georgian style but under wide rounded arches. Bricks are white. Three dormers bear the letters JGL. This façade gives the air of a 20th century pastiche yet the building must be pre 1883 – was it refaced?
