Map

October 2002. Norfolk NMP.
A possible World War Two pillbox is visible on RAF aerial photographs from 1952 (S1). The structure is rectangular and measures 4.5m by 3m. The earliest aerial photograph that this structure is clearly visible on is 1952, so it is possible that this site is not World War Two in date and relates to the post war activities associated with the Weybourne Camp (NHER 11335). However it is possible that it was constructed during World War Two and was sufficiently camouflaged that it is not clear from the aerial perspective.
S. Massey (NMP), 19 March 2003.
