Map

October 2002. Norfolk NMP.
Series of World War Two military trenches centred on TG 07528 42063 and visible on 1946 RAF aerial photographs (S1). The trenches form an X-shape, with two crossing trenches running from TG 0753 4209 to TG 0753 4201 and from TG 0750 4205 to TG 0754 4207. The trenches are 1-2m wide and follow a combination of zigzags, castellations and straight sections. The earthworks look reasonable fresh on the 1946 RAF aerial photographs (S1) and therefore are likely to be World War Two in date.
S. Massey (NMP), 15 April 2003.
