Map

December 2003. Norfolk NMP.
Two possible World War Two structures are visible on RAF aerial photographs from 1946 (S1) and 1950 (S2). A roughly rectangular structure is located at TG 0997 4218, measuring 5.5m by 2.5m. This has a 0.5m protruding structure to the western end of the north wall. Another similar structure is located at TG 0999 4217, this is also roughly rectangular and measuring 6m by 2.5m. This also has a protruding structure, however it is located on the centre of the north side. The function of these two buildings is not known, although it seems likely that are related to all of the training and firing exercises that were taking place on the heath.
S. Massey (NMP), 8 December 2003.
