Group of World War Two pits and trenches visible on periphery of Kelling Heath on RAF aerial photographs from 1946 (S1). Six large pits are visible, ranging in size from 4m by 2m to 5m by 4m. These are located at TG 0980 4196, TG 0977 4196, TG 0976 4196, TG 0976 4194, TG 0976 4194 and TG 0976 4193. Also mapped to the east of the site, centred on TG 0975 4196, are two small slit trenches, 2-3m long by 1m wide. This group forms part of the larger spread of World War Two training activity that took place on the heath.
