Full Description
May 2006. Norfolk NMP.
A group of three World War Two bomb craters is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs (S1)-(S2), centred at TG 5191 0594. The intended target for the bombs may have been the railway line that once lay 100m to the east (NHER 13575). Aerial photographs taken more recently (S3) and modern Ordnance Survey maps demonstrate that the site now underlies part of Harfreys Industrial Estate; the craters themselves have presumably been levelled.
S. Tremlett (NMP), 2 May 2006.
