NHER 43605 (Cropmark and Earthwork record) - Cropmarks of undated ditches

April 2006. Norfolk NMP.
Cropmarks of undated curvilinear ditches are visible on aerial photographs (S1). These cropmarks are centred on TM 3159 8975. Two ditches are intermittently present on a curving southwest to northeast alignment. They are broadly parallel to each other and are spaced approximately 25m apart. A short section of north to south aligned ditch is present at their northeastern end. These cropmark ditches are cut by the modern line of Bath Hills Road and do not relate to the post medieval field pattern. It is likely that they relate to field boundaries, but their date is unknown.

Magnetometer survey of site of proposed quarry extension to west of Bath Hills Road (Area 2).
Although the surveyed area coincided with the southernmost cropmark in this group there was no clear evidence for associated sub-surface remains.
