Map

September 2005. Norfolk NMP.
The cropmarks of a trackway, double ditched boundary or drainage ditches are visible on aerial photographs, running along the parish boundary between Lessingham and Sea Palling (S1 and S2). The site is centred on TG 4204 2792. The parallel ditches are 2 to 3m apart and run from TG 4201 2792 to TG 4207 2792. The ditches are cut by a post medieval drainage channel, which had already been cut by the time of the 1839 Palling Tithe map (S3). The double ditched linear feature may be the remains of a medieval to post medieval trackway, a ditched boundary or possibly even a drainage channel that ran along the line of the parish boundary.
S. Massey (NMP), 13 September 2005.
