Map

May 2006. Norfolk NMP.
A possible World War Two spigot mortar emplacement is visible on aerial photographs within the gardens of Blocka Carr Cottage, Fritton and St Olaves (S1). The possible emplacement was centred on TM 4659 9931 and was visible as a central concrete ‘thimble’ within a sub-circular pit. The location seems a little isolated for a spigot mortar emplacement, although no other function or interpretation can be suggested from the aerial photographs. The structure is not visible after 1944.
S. Massey (NMP), 17 May 2006.
