Summary

A post-medieval drainage ditch is visible on aerial photographs cutting across Reed Fen to the northeast of Plummers Farm, Hickling. This drainage channel cuts across the possible silted-up remains of a medieval peat and clay cutting, the former Hare Broad (NHER 32157-8).

A post-medieval drainage ditch is visible on aerial photographs cutting across Reed Fen to the northeast of Plummers Farm, Hickling (S1). This drainage channel cuts across the possible silted up remains of a medieval peat and clay cutting, the former Hare Broad (NHER 32157-8). The site is centred on TG 4204 2343 and the drain runs from TG 4198 2348 to TG 4212 2337.
