Full Description
August 1984. Listed, Grade II.
An 18th century and 19th century house of colourwashed brick with black pantile roofs. Probably originally L plan with several later additions. It is 2 storeys, with an entrance façade of 3 bays and a later projecting fourth bay. Sash windows with glazing bars beneath skewback arches are at the ground floor only and one ground floor window is blocked. The front door in the northern bay is of the original façade. There is a fine doorcase with Doric pilasters and flat hood with guttae boards, and the door is set in a canted recess with arched glazed upper panels and a shallow rectangular fanlight. The added bay has plate glass sash windows. It has a ground floor with a large tripartite sash beneath a skewback arch with slightly cambered soffit and a sawtooth cornice.
