Map

July 2006. Norfolk NMP.
Earthworks of post medieval and undated ditches and a bank are visible on aerial photographs (S1). These earthworks are centred on TM 3373 9415 and lie to the south and southwest of Broome House Farm (NHER 30685). Rectilinear ditch earthworks are present to the south of the farm at TM 3383 9415. These ditches have a similar alignment to the surrounding field boundaries and are likely to be of post medieval date. Further to the north, to the west of the farmhouse is an earthwork bank. It is roughly rectangular in plan and measures 47m by 12m. It appears to be flanked by ditches on its south and west sides. The date and function of this earthwork is unknown. To the southwest of the farm are further linear and curvilinear ditch earthworks. It is possible that they are field boundaries, but their date is uncertain, despite one of them crossing the Thwaite / Broome parish boundary.
