Map

July 2006. Norfolk NMP.
A cropmark of a large curvilinear enclosure is visible on aerial photographs (S1-S2). This enclosure is centred on TM 3446 9321 and was previously recorded as part of NHER 36361. The cropmark is incomplete and its southwest end is not visible. However, the enclosure appears to have a kidney-shaped curvilinear plan defined by a 4.5m wide ditch. Externally it measures at least 99m long by 52m wide. Sections of possible curvilinear ditch cropmark are present in its southwest part and it is crossed by a trackway or linear boundary ditch cropmark (NHER 44839). The date and function of this possible enclosure is not known, but it may be related to the Bronze Age barrow cemetery (NHER 44844) that surrounds it.
