Map

July 2006. Norfolk NMP.
Cropmarks of a trackway or linear boundary and a curvilinear ditch of unknown date are visible on aerial photographs (S1-S3). These cropmarks are centred on TM 3451 9317. A linear ditch cropmark is present for 164m on a northwest to southeast alignment between TM 34435 93215 and TM 34580 93135. This ditch passes adjacent to a ring ditch cropmark of a probable Bronze Age round barrow (NHER 17275). A second shorter section of linear ditch cropmark aligned parallel to it stops at the ring ditch. It is possible that these linear ditches define a trackway that was overlain by the round barrow or that they represent a boundary aligned on it. It is more likely that they relate to a post-Bronze Age boundary ditch. A curvilinear ditch cropmark of unknown date is located further to the south.
