Map

July 2006. Norfolk NMP.
The cropmarks of undated field boundaries are visible on aerial photographs within arable to the north and south of The Grove, Aldeby (S1). The site is centred on TM 4503 9510, although this point does not correspond to an archaeological feature associated with this site on the ground. These cropmarks are located within a larger multi-phase spread of cropmarks, recorded under NHER 44873, the majority of which are likely to be field boundaries of several phases.

The field boundaries grouped together under this site follow similar alignment and may form fragments of a field system, aligned northwest to southeast and northeast to southwest. However it remains a possibility that these linears could be associated with modern drainage.
S. Massey (NMP), 21 July 2006.
