Summary

This area is the site of a flax factory, which was noted for its tall chimney. It is believed that the factory opened in 1854 and closed in 1895.

Site of flax factory, noted for its tall chimney. Opened in 1854 (S1) says that it closed in 1895, but (S2) shows a very large building marked 'Old Flax Factory'.
