Summary

Site of a clay lump steam engine repair shop that was possibly the largest clay lump building in Britain. It was built in the 1890s and demolished in 1989.

Site of steam engine repair shop for Colonel Mornemont, chairman of Thetford Rural District Council, with attached office. Clay lump, possibly the largest clay lump building in Britain.
Built in 1890s. Demolished 1989.
Added to NHER at request of Norfolk County Council Conservation Department for its importance in the history of clay lump.
