Map

August 2006. Norfolk NMP
Cropmarks of undated enclosures and linear ditches are visible on aerial photographs (S1). These cropmarks are centred on TM 3627 9397. Three possible incomplete enclosures, all of which are cut by the present line of Litchmere Lane, are visible. The largest of these is located at the southern end of the group. It has a rectilinear plan and measures at least 14m by 12m. Adjoining its northern side is a smaller rectilinear enclosure that measures at least 6.5m by 5.5m. A further possible incomplete enclosure measuring 11m by 5m lies immediately to its north. In the northern part of the group are three parallel linear ditch cropmarks that may form further incomplete enclosures. These enclosures must pre-date the present course of Litchmere Lane and may have a medieval or earlier origin, although their exact date is unknown.
