Summary

Fieldwalking in 2003 recovered concentrations of medieval pottery sherds and metal working debris. Excavation on the site revealed a number of medieval features. These included a pit which is thought to have been part of a kiln, oven or corn dryer, as well as a later domed structure on the same site. These sat within a ditched enclosure, and a number of other enclosures, ditches and a series of large pits or ponds were also noted nearby.
