Summary

Excavation 2003 revealed a small Bronze Age cremation cemetery, a low density scatter of Iron Age pits and post holes, which contained a socketed iron axehead, two medieval ditches which appeared to have formed part of an enclosure or field system, and elements of a post-medieval field system.

The desk based assessment identified a field system with associated enclosures and tracks.

March - August 2003. Excavation. Bacton to King's Lynn pipeline.
Excavation revealed a small Bronze Age cremation cemetery comprising six cremations and a heavily truncated pit, a low density scatter of Iron Age pits and post holes, which contained an important socketed iron axehead, two medieval ditches which appeared to have formed part of an enclosure or field system, and elements of a post-medieval field system.
