1980s. Building Survey.
Examined by A. Carter (UEA).
A complicated building that was originally a single-storied house of 16th- or 17th-century date. It was heightened to two stories in the 18th century and extended to the west in the 19th century.
Surviving evidence of the original building included a wall plate, axial joist and common joists. The plan of the building is not reconstructible but would appear to have been three rooms.
See report (S2) for further details.
