Summary

No 29 The Thoroughfare is a two storey timber framed building probably dating to the 16th century, with a steeply pitched black glazed pantile roof with gabled ends. The building was refronted in late 19th-century red brick with a terracotta parapet with pierced guilloche ornament. There is a small 19th- or 20th-century shop on the corner with a modern canopy. The side with the gabled wall, facing the Bullock Fair, is also faced in late 19th-century brick, with barge boards and finial.

Listing Description excerpt:
"Probably 16th century. Timber-framed with steeply pitched black glazed pantile roof with gabled ends. Refronted in late 19th century red brick with terracotta parapet with pierced guilloche ornament. Two storeys. Two windows. Sashes without glazing bars, stone lintels. Small 19th or 20th century shop on corner with modern canopy."
