Summary

An early 19th century grey brick house with a façade of five bays. There are red brick and pantile wings, a stable block and a one storey grey brick and slate extension. Its Grade II listing designation explicity includes the red brick front boundary wall, iron railings and gates (NHER 65097).

"The Grange (including front boundary wall, gate piers and railings).
Early 19th century. Grey brick, partly colourwashed, slate roof. Two storeys. Façade of five bays...Portico with detached Doric columns, pilasters and entablature...Parapetted gables with internal chimney stacks. Red brick and pantile wings to west. Red brick and pantiled stable block to north with plastered and slated link at first floor. Grey brick and slate hipped one storey extension on south gable…
Front boundary wall of red brick with half-round copings, piers with rendered brick cappings. Iron gates and railings."
