Summary

These red brick and partly rendered former maltings have a date stone inscribed 'R Parmeter 1771' in the east gable. They have now been converted into houses.

Listing Description excerpt:
"Dated 'R Parmeter 1771' in east gable. Red brick, partly rendered on north side. Steeply-pitched pantile roof. Two storeys and attic. Parapetted gable with tumbling. Brick modillion eaves. Pantiled 'wedge' dormers with casements. Sashes and casements with segmental heads. Some modern metal casements on north side. Former maltings, now converted."

NIAS records:
2 storey brick and tile structure. Date stone facing the road reads: "R. Parmeter 1771".
Parmeter was listed as a malster in Aylsham in 1836, his son S. Parmeter in 1845, and again this time partnered with Bullock in 1853.
The building had been converted into a shop by the time of the building report in 1975. It is now demolished and the houses built on the site are known as "The Maltings".
