Summary

An impressive brick and stone country house of 1888 in Victorian Jacobean style, built for Samuel Bircham, with a wooden framed conservatory attached to the southwest side of the service wing. The interior is largely unaltered and has good features, including moulded plaster ceilings, wood panelling and fireplaces.

Listing Description Excerpt:
"Country house, dated 1888, built for Samuel Bircham. Flemish bond red brick with freestone dressings, plain tile roof with crow-step gable ends with corrbelled kneelers and brick corbelled eaves. Stacks with tall brick shafts land corbelled brick caps.
Victorian Jacobean style.
Plan: Overall L-shaped plan."
