Full Description
October 1985. Listed, Grade II.
Listing Description Excerpt:
"Farmhouse on Hilborough Hall estate. Dated 1845 in gault brick on north façade. Broken flint with gault brick dressings. Slate roof. Gothick style. Square in plan with projecting octagonal turrets at each corner and to the corners of the 2-storey porch. 2 storeys."

(S2) shows the boundaries of the warren still in existence but that no earthworks remain, and it is all arable, but that 'extensive ruins of the former warren lodge are preserved to the immediate southeast of the house'.

2008 - 2009. Breckland warrens field survey.
The farm is one of two rabbit warren lodges associated with the Gooderstone warren (NHER 54064) dating from 1370. The second lodge may have been in the north-west corner of the warren where a well is marked on the current ordnance survey map.
