1997. C. W. Haines. Norfolk Milestones Survey.
A crudely-lettered rectangular stone that stands against a wall at the entrance to a farm in Gooderstone. It reads:
WATT/ON/8; SW/HA/1/1. If it is a milestone, then its distances are incorrect, with Watton being approximately 11 miles away and Swaffham 6. However, (S1) states that this mileage would fit a stone that once stood on Croxton Heath at approximately TL 868 899, and that 1906 OS maps show a series of milestones running from Thetford to Watton via Croxton.

See (S2) for further information.
D. Holburn (HES), 29 February 2012.

The Milestone Society have reported the stone as missing from c.2000.
A. Yardy (HES), 15 December 2012.
