Summary

A former restaurant and a shop before that, this is a 17th century two storey colourwashed brick house, refashioned and extended in the 18th century and altered in the 19th century. The façade has a very wide boarded door to the south, a glazed panelled door in the centre and an early 19th century shop front to the north. Inside is a fine early 19th century reeded fire surround.

Listing Description Excerpt:
"Former shop, now restaurant and dwelling. 17th century, refashioned and extended in the 18th century and later. Fragmentary timber frame to rear wall of main block. Colourwashed brick façade and pantile roofs. Two storeys and four bays of early 19th century. Two and three-light mullion and transom windows."

No longer a restaurant in 2006, now a private house only.
It stands on the stub of the pre-park main road diverted in around 1830.
