Summary

This public house was built by order of the Town Council in 1837, and was restored in 1960. It is built of cut flint with a gault brick front under a slate roof.

Listing Description Excerpt:
"Public house. Built by order of Town Council in 1837, restored in 1960. Cut flint with gault brick front under a slate roof. Two storeys in three bays. Central entrance consists of a glazed door with side lights set within a pair of fluted pilasters under a triglyph frieze."
