Summary

Nos and 55 and 57 are a pair of shops with accommodation above, constructed in the mid 19th century. This three-storey building is of rendered and colourwashed brick with a roof of black-glazed pantiles and two 20th-century plate-glass shop fronts.

Listing Description excerpt:
"Pair of shops with accommodation above. Mid 19th century. Rendered and colourwashed brick. Roof of black-glazed pantiles. Exterior: three storeys; three-window range. Two 20th-century plate-glass shop fronts. To right of elevation a half-glazed door leads to upper floors. Three two/two unhorned sashes to each floor above…Interior: no features of special interest noted. Part of a very significant group in Market Place."
