Summary

London House was built in the early 18th century as a house, and converted to offices in the mid 20th century. This two-storey red brick building was also partly rebuilt in the late 19th and mid 20th centuries, and the south and east walls have been pebbledashed. The roof is of concrete interlocking tiles, and there is a late 19th-century plate-glass shop display window at the south end.

Listing Description excerpt:
"House, now offices. Early 18th century, converted to offices mid 20th century. Red brick, partly rebuilt late 19th century and mid 20th century. South and east walls pebbledashed. Concrete interlocking roof tiles. Plan of two parallel ranges.
Exterior: two storeys. South gable ends with Dutch gables. West front is five-window range. Late 19th-century plate-glass shop display window to south end...Gabled roofs. Ridge stack in centre of east range. Interior: converted to offices and opened out into single spaces in 20th century. Part of a very significant group of buildings in Market Place."
