The building comprises of a 4 four window range 3 storey block and an attached single storey garage block to the east end. The external walls are mainly constructed from red brick laid in Flemish bond in a lime-based mortar. There are flint stretches of wall along the Pit Lane elevation and onto the single storey garage on the north and east elevations. A small area of walling on the northern wall of the garage comprises a pier of flint with brick quoins with a number of pieces of ?animal vertebrae contained within the flint panel.
