Summary

This house was originally constructed in the 16th century. A rear wing was added around 1700 and the building was refaced in the early 20th century. It now has a brick front and render to timber-frame with an ashlar and flint rear wing with brick dressings. The roof is of modern clay tiles with a brick ridge and end chimneystacks. The entrance to the left has a re-used 18th century doorcase with pilasters, sections of triglyph frieze and open pediment. Within the walling are numerous carved and moulded pieces of limestone which can be identified as having belonged to a Romanesque building of about 1140. The house is now used for offices.
