Summary

An early 19th century red brick house with a stone parapet with stone finials and a large stone lion in the centre. The house has a modern shop front.

Early 19th century. Red brick with hipped pantile roof, partly black-glazed. Two storey. Parapetted facade with stone coping. First floor sashes with flat rubbed arches. Stone corner finials and large stone lion in centre of parapet. Modern shopfront. Rusticated brick quoins and one pilaster. Grey brick chimney stacks to east and west. Moulded brick modillion eaves and sashes with rubbed arches on west side.

NIAS records:
There is a smoke house at the end of the driveway down the side of the house. It is likely that hams were smoked here and sold in the high street grocers store.
