Summary

This cottage and integral outbuilding date to the 18th century but were extended in the mid 19th century and 20th century. The cottage is built from English bond red brick and has a pantile roof with gabled ends and shaped rafter ends exposed at the eaves. Inside, back-to-back fireplaces served by an axial chimney heat each room. In 19th century a single storey outhouse wing was built behind the main outbuilding and a small outshut was added behind the centre of the cottage, to be extended on either side in 20th century by further outshuts.

"Cottage and integral outbuilding. 18th century in date, extended in about the mid 19th century and 20th century. English bond red brick with plinth. Red clay pantile roof with gabled ends and shaped rafter ends exposed at eaves. Brick axial chimneystack with octagonal shafts with moulded caps and bases."
