Summary

A pair of Grade II listed cottages dated to 1834, constructed of pebble flint with red brick dressings and slate roofs. They are a good example of Holkham Estate cottage type.

Listing Description Excerpt:
"Cottages. Dated 1834. Pebble flint, red brick dressings. Roof slates. Pair of 1 1/2 storeys. One bay each. Entrances at side and rear. Brick plinth, end quoins and dentil cornice; quoins mark party wall. Dressed window openings, under cambered gauged brick arches. Three-light cast iron casement windows, glazing bars."

February 2021. Minor Amendment to Listing.
The mapped location of this record has been corrected.
When Listed in May 1983, this record was located at TF 91008 40578. This incorrectly placed it at Branthill Cottages, 49 and 50 Branthill, Wighton. It has been moved approximately 23m to the west of this point and is now located at TF 90984 40571, Branthill Cottages, 35 and 36 Branthill, Wighton.
