English Heritage Listing:
Rookery Farm Cottages, Thurning.
Farm cottages. Built around 1700. Flemish bond, red stretchers with black header brick work, red and black glazed pantiled roof. Single storey with attics. Four skew- backed ground floor arches, red and black brick, mark original door and window openings, now blocked by 19th century arches for 20th century door and window to each cottage, central arch filled with two 20th century casements. Brick plinth, dentil eaves cornice, coped brick parapet gables, two end stacks. Steeply pitched roof, there dormers. Gables with attic level platband and tumbling.
