Full Description
November 1972. Listed, Grade II.
Nos 1 and 3 Railyway Road.
1828, 2 storey, amber brick curved sash window with glazing bars on rounded corner. Blank recess at 1st floor. On return, also a blank recess and sash window with glazing bars. Slate roof, with pyramidal leaded corner. Small eaves soffit. 1st floor band. Entrance on corner. Date tablet inscribed BM 1828. Nos 1 & 3 form a group with Former Methodist Church, Sunday School, Library (NHER 37501) No 71 (NHER 46796), and Boundary Walls (NHER 60673), Bridge Street.

This building appears to have been demolished sometime between 1972, when it was listed (S1), and 1988 when an aerial photograph (S2) indicates a vacant plot in its location. An aerial photograph taken in 1992 (S3), prior to construction of Wade-Wright Court, provides another view of this plot. No. 5 is still extant in both images, but Nos 1 and 3 no longer appear.
