Summary

A late 18th century colourwashed brick and flint two storey house with a slate and tile roof. Over the door is a wall sundial marked with foreign sea ports.

Map

House. Late 18th century. Colourwashed brick façade, flint rear. Slate and plaintile roof. 2 storeys in 3 bays, the centre bay broken forward under pediment with dentils. Panelled central door with pilasters supporting open pediment, also with dentils. Plain fanlight. French doors right and left with glazing bars. 2 sashes with glazing bars to first floor, all under gauged skewback arches. Over door is wall sundial marked with foreign sea ports. Dentil eaves cornice below Mansard roof. Central ridge stack and external gable stack to left. 2 storey extension to left of house 1939. Interior with open cut staircase and ramped handrail. Stairwell top lit by glazed dome with fluted lower edge.
