Summary

This former rectory is now private house. It dates to the late 17th century, with later alterations. The building fabric is coursed clunch, flint and plastered brick with pantile and slate roofing. The entrance is particularly grand with the central door below a 7-vaned fanlight and behind a late 18th century porch supported on pair of fluted Ionic columns. All the windows are of the sash variety with some of the original ones being replaced in the 20th century. Inside is a fine cut string staircase in the south block which has scrolled tread ends.
