Summary

The Hollies is a house of the mid-18th century and later, with brick facades, carstone returns, and a pantiled roof. This two storey building is dated to 1757, and is thought to have been built for Nicholas Styleman (1721- 1788) of Snettisham Hall (NHER 1561), although the façade dates to the late 18th century.

Listing Description excerpt:
"House. Mid-18th century and later. Brick façades, carstone returns, pantiled roof. Two storey, double pile plan with north and south façades. Front pile has renewed east and west gable datestone 'NS 1757' for Nicholas Styleman (1721- 1788) of Snettisham Hall, but façade late 18th century. Fine Flemish bond brick work. Five bays...Rear pile projects to east and west beyond front pile...Two storey carstone and red pantiled roof cottage wing attached at south-east on School Road.
