Summary

A mid to late 17th century public house of clunch, carstone and brick. The pub is built on a lobby entrance plan and there is a blocked 17th century window on the first floor.

Listing Description Excerpt:
"The Chequers Inn public house. Mid and late 17th century, of 2 builds. Whitewashed clunch with some carstone, brick dressings, red pantiled roofs. 2 storey with attics, lobby entrance plan at west, earlier build to east. Both builds with c.1900 and 20th century details."
