Summary

A pair of early 19th-century brick and stucco houses with sash windows and panelled doors. There is a former stable and small dwelling in the garden of 89 containing a re-used large 16th century stone window with cusped lights (NHER 58303). It served as an eyecatcher from the main house.

Listing Description excerpt:
"Pair of houses. C.1825. Brown brick. Roof not visible but probably slate. Three storeys, each in two bays. Doorways set to right. No. 89 has a panelled door with moulded central roundel under a seven-vaned fanlight. Doorcase formed of two engaged fluted Ionic columns supporting block entablatures and plain hood. No.90 entered through a panelled door with overlight, its hood on scrolled consoles. Stucco string course at first floor with Vitruvian scroll decoration...Stacks to south and centre."
