Summary

This public house dates to sometime during the early 19th century, but it has later 19th century and 20th century alterations. It is built from flint rubble with brick dressings and a Flemish bond brick front. The pantile roof has brick caped gable ends and brick corbelled eaves. The building has a complex plan with various wings and outshuts being attached to the main range. The majority of windows are of the sash type and include some sixteen-paned examples.

"Public house. Dating to around early 19th century with later 19th century and 20th century alterations. Flint rubble with brick dressings and Flemish bond brick front, the front and end wall whitewashed. Pantile roof with brick caped gable ends and brick corbelled eaves. Brick chimneystack at left gabled end."
