Full Description
The house here dates to roughly 1700 with late 19th century details being added. It is constructed of flint with brick dressings and a red pantiled roof. The ground floor has two tripartite wooden framed casements with single glazing bars, brick dressings and cambered arches. The first-floor has two three-light and one two-light casement with a single glazing bar, brick dressings and cambered arches. The central door is part-glazed. It has a ground floor brick plinth, with brick diamond lozenges broken off at first-floor level by 19th century heightening and re-roofing. At the north there are straight joint quoins at junction with two storey single bay addition with ground-floor mid 19th century plastered and whitewashed canted shop-window bay with fixed casements and cast-iron barred grills, slated roof with lead flushings. This has a first-floor brick dressed tripartite window. There is a brick outshut to the rear. The ground-floor interior has chamfered cross beams.
