Summary

The brick and stone parish hall was built in the mid to later 19th century in Tudor Gothic style as a school. A panel over each door bears the inscription 'Girls' and 'Boys'.

Mid-later 19th century. Formerly a school. Red brick with yellow brick and stone dressings. Tudor gothic style. Steep slated roofs with 2 gables with moulded stone coping, stone finials at each corner; 2 storeys and attic. Five windows. First floor windows with continuous drip moulds. Two and 3-light mullion/transom windows with leaded panes. To left and right, doorway with studded 4-centred arch door with ornate hinges; carved spandrels and drip mould; panel over each door with inscription 'Girls' and 'Boys'. Over each gable end a chimney stack with pair of octagonal brick shafts with moulded caps and bases.

The school was built in 1842 by the Reverend Lee Warner and was closed in 1912. The gable end suggests that the original 1842 building was heightened and refaced possibly in the late 19th century.
