Summary

An early 19th century three storey brick and flint hotel, its front painted stucco. It has an enclosed porch with a pair of fluted columns at the corners. The 17th century rear wing is two storeys high with a dormer attic.

Listing Description excerpt:
"Back portion probably 17th century. Front late Georgian. Brick, flint and pantiled. Front stucco, painted. Three storey front, two storey at back. Greek Doric closed porch with fluted columns. Front range of five sash windows, with glazing bars, including three window centre, advanced."

A group of ancillary buildings and walls to the south of the main hotel building were also listed Grade II in June 1972. These are now recorded separately as NHER 64635.
