P. Aldridge (NLA), 27 September 2006. Amended by P. Beers (HES), 10 January 2020.

(S2) in file repeats story that this was a customs lookout but this is extremely unlikely and seems to have been derived simply from the unusual porch tower.
E. Rose (NLA), 7 November 2006.

The wall in front of Arch House was also listed Grade II in 1972. It is now recorded separately as NHER 64649.
