The Ship once contained four three-dimensional bas-relief plaster panels that had been made by the well-known Norwich artist John Moray-Smith between 1948 and 1951. Three of the panels are now in the Cromer Museum - the first depicting the famous Cromer lifeboat coxswain Henry Blogg (CRRMU : 1998.40), the second the launching of the Cromer lifeboat (CRRMU : 2010.30) and the third a crowd relaxing on Cromer East Beach (CRRMU : 1997.8). The whereabouts of the forth panel, which depicts a Cromer lifeboat rescue, are unfortunately currently unknown.
See (S2) for further information on these and other works by Moray-Smith.
